It’s fantastic to see a lovely venue restored to its full potential, and Rise Hall, Yorkshire, will soon be available again to chair cover hire customers.
The mansion is owned by TV property expert Sarah Beeny and artist husband Graham Swift, and is set to re-open for weddings, following a planning dispute. The grade-2* listed building is undoubtedly a beautiful place to style chair covers in the north.
Channel 4 covered the renovation of the building for the programme Beeny’s Restoration Nightmare. The Sun noted how the couple converted Rise Hall from a “dilapidated mansion into a luxury location for tying the knot”.
Sarah and Graham purchased the estate a decade ago, and underwent years of legal wrangling with East Riding Council. In 2010, the couple were finally granted a wedding license for the property. However, weddings were temporarily suspended at the venue over health and safety concerns, which have since been assuaged.
Commenting on the return of weddings to Rise Hall, Sarah said: “Both Graham and I are so pleased that we are able to realise our dreams in bringing this beautiful house alive again and we look forward to sharing Rise Hall with future couples who are now able to get married here.”
Certainly, it’s hard to imagine a more spectacular setting in which to style wedding chair covers in Yorkshire. The 33-bedroom historic home has bags of history, and will appeal to anyone who loves rustic period charm.
